The Beijing-based branch of the automaker has promised to provide an over-the-air software update for the recalled cars to fix the problem.

The recalled vehicles include approximately 1.61 million imported models, S, X, 3, and locally produced Model 3 and Y vehicles manufactured between August 26, 2014, and December 20, 2023.
